Mrs. Sawyer, of wacky teacher from Crosby fame, and my mom are pals, and she just (and by just I mean yesterday) lent us a gigantic book of knitting stitches. There are zigzags and cables and lace patterns and cable lace patterns and also a chart for intarsia penguins! Man oh man. We're going to get our own copy, and knit complicated, complicated things.
I got mail from U of T, which is the closest university I applied to, but slowest to send mail, today. It was mysteriously opened along the side of the envelope. Perhaps our new mail lady stole my U of T application number and plans to ruin my life. She could cancel all my choices! Or sign me up for engineering! Or perhaps she is just a mail-tampering junkie, and needed a fix. Breaking the law gets her high.
Also, my Time magazine came all wet and crumpled. I didn't notice this right away.
After another fight with my printer, I came upstairs and looked at the magazine and went to read it and found that it was practically falling apart! I almost cried, as I guess I do when things are not going my way. This is how good I am right now.
Exams begin now. It's a good thing there's not a lot to study for English or Writer's Craft, because I... won't.
Good.
