So I watched The Chronicles of Narnia last night, was taken to a dreamworld of magic, the whole thing.
My overall impression would have to be that it was not very much like the cartoon version I watched a trillion times when I was little. Notable differences include:
- Mr. Tumnus was not a weird old red and green goat man. I mean, he was still a goat man. But he was endearing.
- It was live action.
- I was fully aware of how Aslan was supposed to be Jesus or whatever.
- I am now pretty sure that Turkish Delight is actually heroin! This wasn't Narnia! This was Trainspotting!
Actually, otherwise, it was just like the cartoon. And the book, I guess.
I give this movie a 8 out of an adorable faun.
